Enjoy Refreshing Brews and Bites at This Brewery in Charlotte

When the temperature gets hotter, few things are as refreshing as ice cold beverages. A great tie in to that refreshment is the local brewery scene around Cielo. One of our favorite spots, Sugar Creek Brewng Company, does not disappoint with its selection of brews. 

Background and Tap Room

Since 2014 Sugar Creek Brewing Company has been crafting delicious, Belgian-style beer. Its whole mission is to follow in the footsteps of the Belgian Trappist Monks and "break the rules" of traditional brewing. 

When you head to the taproom, you'll find plenty of seats and cool steampunk-inspired decor. For the coolest special event or party, hold your private event at the brewery. There's a dedicated event room complete with its own outdoor seating and bar area.

Tasty Brews

Try out the seasonal Hi-Creek Fruit Punch Sour. It's the latest flagship beer and a nod to the popular fruit punch juice boxes of yesteryear. There are other brews like the Sugar Creek Pale Ale. A couple of varieties are even charitable. For Beers & Burpees and Big O! Booty Blood Orange IPA, all proceeds benefit local charities for cancer and those with special medical needs. 

Belgian Kitchen

What's more, there is also a kitchen to order scrumptious food to compliment your beer. Choices include things like grilled paninis, small plates, and salads. Since the menu indicates what type of beer pairs well with each dish, you can plan your meal like a pro. Go for the complete experience and order a Doner Kebab. It starts with a warm pita bread filled with thinly sliced rotisserie meat, vegetables, and sauces. Choose from a kebab on the menu or build your own delicious creation.
