A Guide to the Best Pizza Joints in Savannah
It's hard to deny pizza's widespread popularity. Whether you like your pizza with just cheese or loaded with every imaginable topping, you'll be delighted to hear that Savannah has some of the best pizza in the country within easy driving distance of our apartments.
VINNIEVANGOGO
Vinnie's is a wonderfully-unique pizza experience. Its classic Neapolitan style crust (think thin, chewy, and remarkably crispy at the edges) can be loaded up with a variety of toppings. When it comes to old-school cool, this spot is a winner. They still use bike messengers to deliver their pizza, and they use classic pizza ovens to quickly bake pizza dough at extremely high temperatures. The result? A thin, chewy, tasty pie with fresh cheeses and a wonderful tangy red sauce.
SCREAMIN MIMI'S PIZZA
Screamin' Mimi's is a family-owned joint renowned for its delicious pizza, pasta, and Italian subs. We’re big fans of the steak sandwich, but it’s hard to argue with a tried-and-true cheese pizza. The handmade crust verges on the thick side, but it definitely has crust and flop. Be warned: these aren’t small pizzas. They’re much larger than a traditional large, and one of these could easily feed a family.
YOUR PIE
Your Pie values its customers highly since they are responsible for the restaurant's success. Your Pie's dedication to pizza stems from its owners' fondness for sharing meals with loved ones. Your Pie co-founder Drew French fell in love with the strong and smokey aromas and flawlessly crisped pizza crust made by traditional brick oven cooking during his honeymoon in 2006 on the tiny island of Ischia in Italy, miles from Naples. Drew was inspired to create the community feast so that others in his hometown may share in the joy he had when eating with his loved ones.
