If you’re heading west for a little desert warmth and have your eye on Las Vegas, don’t forget that there’s more to the city than just casinos. In fact, we have a whole list of things for you to do while you’re there that don’t involve gambling at all.
Sightsee
There are so many sights to see in Vegas that many people miss while sitting in front of the slot machines. Get on a good pair of walking shoes and head out to see the Vegas landmarks. Be sure to include the Bellagio Fountains for a water and light show every half-hour (more frequently at night). Visit The Neon Museum, which documents the history of the city through its timeline of colorful signs. And don’t miss the chance to view Sin City from 1,149 feet at one of The Strat’s observation decks.
Shop at Container Park
Where can you find some of the best outdoor eating, shopping, and entertainment in Las Vegas? Head over to Container Park. This Sin City hot spot was created from shipping containers stacked upon one another – hence its name. You’ll find everything there you could imagine including clothing, cigars, sunglasses, candy, magic supplies, jewelry, and yes, even a wedding chapel. And when you get tired of shopping, renew yourself with a snack or meal at one of their popular restaurants like Waffelato, Bin 702, or Downtown Terrace.
Get on the Racetrack
Have you ever wondered what it was like to put the pedal to the metal in a car like a Lamborghini or Ferrari? Get ready to make your dream come true. At Exotics Racing, you’ll get to indulge your need for speed. And if you really want the full racecar driver experience, head over to Richard Petty Driving Experience, where you’ll get to drive in a simulated race. And if that is a little much for you, you can try Exotics Racing’s go-kart track, where you can still enjoy a few speedy zips around the track.
Go Indoor Skydiving
Have you always wondered what it would feel like to jump out of a plane, but didn’t want to take the risk? Head over to Vegas Indoor Skydiving and get the full experience, without even having to get into a plane.
