SHOPPING IN SAVANNAH: FIND HANDMADE CRAFTS AT THE VILLAGE CRAFTSMEN

|

Whether you are looking to complete your home with original artwork or handmade crafts, head to The Village Craftsmen.

It is a co-op of local artisans from Savannah and the Low Country, and artists include:

Lynette Burbage

Lynette Burbage graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a degree in graphic design. She now calls South Carolina home as she enjoys the southern landscapes that are infused with sunlight and a feeling of contentment. Lynette states this is the essence of the South that she tries to impart in her paintings, and she's known for creating her designs on switch plates.

Richard and Gini Steele

Richard and Gini Steele combine their passion for history and photographs to create photographic images of times gone by. They state that they work from their personal collection of negatives and old glass plates. Their pieces are individually printed on fiber based silver emulsion paper and can be purchased in sepia or black and white.

Frank Bright

Frank Bright is a professional pianist who became interested in the visual arts at a later age. He calls the Low Country home, and he started painting consistently in the spring of 2013. Frank mainly works in watercolor, and his pieces come in different sizes.

Cathy Sizer

If you're looking for a gift instead of a piece for your home, Cathy Sizer is a self-taught jewelry artist who has an interest in antique and vintage findings. She almost exclusively uses exquisite handmade materials including lampwork beads and Raku pottery, and all of her creations are one-of-a-kind.

The Village Craftsman is just one of the artistic destinations near our apartments in Savannah, Georgia. If you would like to call our community home, please contact us. Our leasing agents would love to show you around.
