Savannah is known for having some of the best food in the country – and that includes several really cool food trucks with tasty menu options. Olympus Fenwick shares our fave restaurants on wheels to check out the next time you’re grabbing grub.

The Big Cheese

Cheese is hands down one of the best foods on the planet. It’s melty, gooey, delicious, and down-right addicting! At this local food truck – typically parked at Starland Yard in Savannah – cheese is the main attraction. Don’t sleep on their gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. Yoshi's Kitchen

Another Starland Yard regular is Yoshi's Kitchen, bringing you fresh Japanese meals on wheels. From fried fish bowls and gyozas to tempura cheesecake, this truck offers some serious variety. And don’t forget to order a sweet tea or a Ramune Japanese marble soda on the side for the perfect pairing to your meal.

The Naked Dog Savannah

While this food “truck” isn’t necessarily on wheels, it’s still in the food truck category. The Naked Dog is basically a little shack on the side of the road. And as the name suggests, they're all about hot dogs here – but they’re far from naked! With toppings like chili cheese, french fries, and pastrami to name a few, this is the place to be when you’re craving a gourmet hot dog. And for the vegetarians/vegans out there, they even have a veggie option.

Pie Society

Our list just wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Pie Society. This British-inspired food truck brings you a variety of meals served up in (mostly) pie form. Choose from savory meat pies, like steak and ale, or go with a classic, like chicken pot pie. Finish off your meal with something sweet, such as Key lime pie.
