Do More Than Read at the Live Oak Public Libraries

Founded in 1903 as the Savannah Public Library, the Live Oak Public Libraries works to "enrich people's lives by supporting lifelong learning and building and enhancing our communities." It provides much to see and do, both in-person and from the comfort of home. Here is some of what the library has to offer near our Savannah apartments:

Passes to Parks and Museums

Before heading out to explore, stop by the library to borrow free passes or pickup discounted tickets to cultural centers and state parks across Georgia. Close to home, head to the Telfair Academy and Jepson Center for the Arts on the library's Telfair Museums Family Pass. It provides free admission for up to eight people per visit. Out-of-town destinations include the Chattahoochee Nature Center, Georgia Aquarium, and Zoo Atlanta.

Hoopla

When you want to borrow e-books, audiobooks, and movies, Hoopla offers these things and more. It syncs to your favorite devices, and allows you to stream your selections immediately or save them for later. Best of all, it's free. All you need is your library card to get started.

Adult Reading Recommendations

If you are not sure what to read, check out the library's recommendations. The staff recommends their current favorites and longtime classics. Currently, the staff recommends Tracks by Robyn Davidson. A candid story of discovery and transformation, it follows Robyn on her incredible 1,700-mile solo trek across the Australian desert.

After discovering the offerings from the Live Oak Public Libraries, enjoy your favorite pizza at a Savannah pizzeria. To call Olympus Fenwick home, please contact our leasing team. They'd love to show you everything our apartments in Savannah have to offer.
