Resident picking grapes on a beautiful day near Olympus Fenwick in Savannah, Georgia

Summer is in full-swing and local harvests are flourishing! Pick-your-own (or PYO) produce is a gratifying and sustainable way to eat healthy, support local small businesses, and connect with nature. What’s more nostalgic than wandering through sunlit fields in the summertime with a basket full of berries you handpicked? Read on for Olmpus Fenwick’s favorite local PYO farms.

Bulloch County

Clark Farm & Produce, in Twin City, is a little over an hour drive from Olympus Fenwick. Pick-your-own strawberries, peas, butterbeans, sweetcorn, heirloom tomatoes, and so much more!

Marshall's Farm is where you want to be this summer. Known for its delicious muscadine grapes, blueberries, and Celeste figs, pick your way to a tasty addition to your summer harvest.

Chatham County

What’s better than a PYO farm just 11 miles from home? Operating since 1870, Ottawa Farms in Bloomingdale, offers a collection of blackberries, blueberries, muscadine grapes, strawberries, and even fresh honey straight from the hive.

Liberty County

Located in Midway, Brewer’s Christmas Tree-Blueberry Farm isn’t just for the winter season. During the summertime, make the half-hour drive out to the farm to PYO blueberries, scuppernong grapes, and Japanese persimmons. Once the holiday season rolls around later in the year, make your way back over to cut your own holiday tree and enjoy a hayride around the grounds!

Remember to always call each farm location to confirm hours and harvest availability before making the trip. Check out our blog page for more neighborhood highlights and local destinations to explore near your Olympus Fenwick home.
