The Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens at the Historic Bamboo Farm makes a lovely day trip if you love to walk in nature and spend time surrounded by natural beauty. You can explore the Cottage Garden, Mediterranean Garden, or the Trustees Garden to name a few. If you want some exercise to a longer walk, take to some of our beautifully-kept nature trails such as the Judge Arthur Solomon Camellia Trail, Crape Myrtle Allee, and Rivers of Iris for a nice walk that is appropriate for all ages. This is one of our favorite nature walks in Pooler.

Savannah Ogeechee Canal Museum & Nature Center:

Savannah Ogeechee Canal Museum & Nature Center is part of a beautiful canal that leads to the Ogeechee River, which has been a favorite spot for tourists to visit and walk along for many years. The trail that goes along the Ogeechee Barge Canal winds on for 16.5 miles, and you may walk as much or as little of the canal as you choose. Along your hike, you can enjoy other fun activities like bird watching or spending time along the Sandhill/Pine forest trails. The area is open for picnics, BBQs, and other local and fun outdoor events.
