With recent world events sheltering many of us from delicious dining experiences, we’re all craving new, flavorful options to shake things up a bit for our taste buds – and what better way to do it than with some Savannah surf and turf. Whether our city is fully up and running or you’re swinging by to pick up takeout, these three restaurants are where you want to be when dinner hour rolls around.
Belford's Savannah
Come for the cocktails, but stay for the steaks at Belford’s. Plan your visit between 4 and 6 PM for insanely good happy hour cocktails, like their Southern Dew with coconut rum, melon liqueur, and pineapple and lemon juice. After the libations kick in, order the Crispy Calamari for a starter and follow it with a juicy, 38-day aged Filet Mignon.
Toni Steakhouse
Family-owned and operated, this steakhouse is where you go for friendly service, a warm atmosphere, and delicious food. For the ultimate surf and turf pairing, try the jumbo Grilled Shrimp as a tasty appetizer and order the house favorite Chateaubriand for two. Be sure to have a glass of Sterling cab sauvignon and hang around after the main course for their perfectly crunchy and creamy Crème Brulee.
River House Seafood
While their grilled short rib burger is equally mouth-watering, River House Seafood is the place to be for fresh, locally caught fish and shellfish. Go full-blown Southern and order the signature seafood boil or the Fried Shrimp Platter. Their in-house chef, Gladys Young, knows what’s up when it comes to delicious, Southern food – and we’re here to try it all.
