HERE ARE 3 YUMMY LEMONADE RECIPES TO TRY THIS SUMMER

|

Ahh, lemonade. This refreshing, classic beverage is the perfect combination of tart, sweet, and quenching. Read on for some of our favorite lemonade recipes.

The Classic

Check out this simple and delicious recipe for a tangy, slightly sweet version of classic lemonade. You’ll need 1 cup freshly squeezed juice (approximately 10 to 12 lemons), ½ cup granulated sugar, 3 cups cold water, 1 quart ice, and a pinch of salt. Salt? Yes, salt! It is a natural flavor-enhancer while it simultaneously reduces bitterness. Stir ingredients together in a large pitcher until the sugar is fully dissolved. Give it a taste test – if it needs a little more sweetness, add ⅛ to a ¼ cup more granulated sugar.

Berry Burst

Start with the original recipe from above as your base. Wash a cup of blackberries or blueberries (or your choice of berry), and drop them into your lemonade pitcher. Using a wooden spoon, gently mash up the berries in the bottom to infuse the flavors together. Stir well before serving.

Sparkling Summer Lemonade

Think of this colorful, flavorful mixture as a combination of the two recipes above, but make it bubbly! Follow along with the recipe as you start by dissolving sugar in water, adding in some mint, and stirring together all the ingredients into a larger pitcher before serving immediately with more mint as garnish.

Celebrate National Lemonade Day
