4 COOL BIKING TRAILS NEAR POOLER

|

Eastern Georgia is packed with places to break out your mountain bike. Here are four of our favorite trails near Pooler, Georgia. With breathtaking natural beauty providing stunning backdrops, these rides are as good for your soul as they are for your health.

Tom Triplett Trail

This 7.5-mile mountain bike loop trail is twisting, turning, and loads of fun. Its moderately technical singletrack terrain is a fit for most riders – and the beauty of Tom Triplett Park is hard to beat.

Priests Landing Trail

Head over to Skidaway Island and hit up the Priests Landing Trail for a scenic ride through Savannah’s stunning wetlands. Part smooth, part technical, this 6-mile trail is a good fit for all skill levels.

Whitemarsh Island

Located just east of Savannah, Whitemarsh Island features more than 6 miles of mountain bike trail through gorgeous wooded marshland. With flowy singletrack and doubletrack and occasional technical challenges, Whitemarsh Island offers a little something for everyone.

Guyton Rails to Trails

As the name suggests, this paved trail in nearby Guyton, is built into an abandoned railway. While the trains stopped running the line more than a half-century ago, transportation of the two-wheeled variety is keeping the old Central of Georgia Railway relevant. At just under a mile, it’s not the longest trail around, but it’s a fun little sprint through Georgia history.
