We understand – with the hustle and bustle of today’s on-the-go culture, it can be hard to find the time to exercise. We’re here to tell you that it is possible to carve out the space and time needed to focus on your fitness routine. In fact, it’s necessary you do it, for your body and your mind. We’re covering five ways to carve out space to include your fitness routine.
Get your sleep and exercise in line with a one-two punch. Go to bed early, and make it a goal to wake up early to start your day with some exercise. If you’re not a morning person, ease into it. Set your alarm for a time that you know you’ll have no distractions. No kids, no phone calls, no commitments. Make this time about you, and no one else.
Set a Goal, Outloud
Believe it or not, putting your goals in writing and saying them outloud to others helps motivate you to actually accomplish them. Determine what your fitness routine will be — running four times a week, spinning on the bike 30 minutes a day, doing four online yoga classes a week — and stick to it. Once you’re in it, you’d be surprised at just how much more motivated you are to keep at it.
Keep Workout Clothes Handy
You never know when you might find a chance to squeeze a workout in. Make sure to keep a pair of running shoes and clothes in your car, that way if you are ever out and about and find 20 minutes of free time, you can hit the pavement without it interfering with your day.
Make an At-Home Gym
Convenience wins these days, that’s for sure. Make sure a workout is readily available without having to go far. Invest in a stationary bike, like the Peloton, that offers live and on-demand classes with the app subscription. Beach Body is another great resource with hundreds of workouts to choose from.
There’s no excuses now, it’s time to workout! Take these tips and follow through with them – you’ll be so happy you did. For more fitness inspirations, head over to read our other blog posts.
