4 ROMANTIC PLACES TO TAKE YOUR DATE THIS VALENTINE'S DAY

|

When it comes to romance, Brunswick has got you covered. Take your sweetheart’s hand and go check out these perfect destinations for your Valentine’s Day celebration.

Sidney Lanier Park

Enjoy a picnic on the Brunswick River, where you can watch the boats go by at Sidney Lanier Park. There is an observation deck and picnic area, making it a perfect place for a romantic outdoor meal. Just remember to class it up by using a fancy picnic basket like this one from Target. Or if you want to keep it simple, take your sweetheart out to dinner, then end the date here to watch the beautiful Georgia sunset.

Delaney’s Bistro & Bar

This intimate eatery on St. Simons Island is the perfect place for a romantic dinner for two. Famous for its creative and abundant specials, not to mention the fresh ingredients from elk to seafood, you’ll be sure to find something you both love. They regularly feature Shrimp Provencal, Prime New York Strip Steak Bordelaise, and Rack of Lamb Provence – all customer favorites. And unsurprisingly, they have one of the best wine lists in the region.

The Spa at Sea Island

If you’re ready to go all out, head to this luxurious resort spa on Sea Island and enjoy a couple’s massage. The scenery at this stunning spa doesn’t hurt, either, which isn’t surprising with its five-star rating. There are stone floors, palm trees, and soothing water features to enhance your relaxation. You can also book one of their suites with private balconies or take advantage of the garden atrium for a little quiet time together.

Lover’s Oak

We couldn’t exclude this famous – and possibly most romantic – landmark in the area. Head out to the intersection of Albany and Prince Streets in historic downtown Brunswick to see this enormous oak tree that is believed to be about 900 years old. She’s undoubtedly sheltered many pairs of lovers beneath her sprawling branches and is the perfect place to spend a few quiet moments together at the end of a perfect Valentine’s Day.
