TREAT YOURSELF TO SOMETHING SWEET THIS SUMMER AT THESE LOCAL SHOPS

|

With summer just around the corner and local businesses opening back up again, there are plenty of places around Brunswick to treat yourself to something sweet. From after-dinner candy cravings to a scoop of ice cream on a hot day, here are our favorite spots nearby to pick up a few sweets.

St. Simons Sweets

This famous sweets shop on St. Simons Island (229 Mallery St.) is well known for their pecan treats, decorated cookies, ice cream, and unique treats called crispies. From adorable hedgehog shaped sandwich cookies to mouth-watering pralines and creamy ice cream scoops in a chocolate-dipped waffle cone, St. Simons Sweets truly has it all.

Moo Cow Ice Cream

Ice cream and summer go together like peanut butter and jelly. And when you’re looking to cool down with a chilly treat this season, Moo Cow Ice Cream (541 Ocean Blvd.) is the place to be. They use hormone-free 14 to 16% premium butterfat in their recipes which makes for the creamiest, tastiest sweet treat in town. Pick any one of their house-churned artisan ice cream flavors and be transported to flavor central on St. Simons Island.

Daddy Cate’s Coffee

This little cafe in downtown Brunswick not only serves up some perfectly roasted coffee; they also have an incredible selection of breakfast pastries and sweet treats. Start your morning with a latte and gooey cinnamon roll or swing by in the afternoon for a refreshing milkshake.
