With fall in full swing and Three Oaks Farm just a short drive from Odyssey Lake, it’s well worth a visit this season. Here are three reasons you should check out the Golden Isles Carriage and Trail at Three Oaks Farm.
Horseback Riding
Throw on your favorite cozy sweater, a pair of jeans, and some old boots – you’re going horseback riding! And what better place to do it than on the beautiful Jekyll Island during fall. A one-hour public group ride at the beach will cost just $65, but if you want a more close-knit activity, book a private ride for $125.
Is one horseback ride just not going to do it for ya? 45-minute riding lessons are offered at Three Oaks Farm for just $45 each when taken weekly and paid monthly.
Hiking
Fall is hands-down the best time of year to go hiking. Cooler days with plenty of sunshine calls for a hiking trip on Jekyll Island. Park your car at the Driftwood Beach parking lot and make your way through the miles of hiking trails all around the Three Oaks Park area. Start on North Loop Trail from Driftwood Beach and head northwest to the Jekyll Island Fishing Pier. Don’t forget to bring water and some bug spray!
Narrated Historic Carriage Tour
The Narrated Historic Carriage Tour is the perfect way to spend a fall evening on the Georgia coast. Each 15-seater horse-drawn carriage will take riders on a narrated tour through the Historic District on Jekyll Island – it’s a must-see and starts at just $55!
