Color Me Happy
Color Me Happy is a family-owned mobile pottery and art studio specializing in bringing the fun and classes to you. Mother and daughter team, Meghan and Lois, believe there is a hidden artist in everyone and use simple techniques to get you making and creating. It's the perfect way to celebrate a birthday, liven up a corporate event, or jump-start a local fundraiser.
One of their most popular classes is the Paint Your Own Pottery workshop offered for all ages and all skill levels. You pick out what you want to paint and Meghan and Lois will guide you through the process. The finished pieces are fired, glazed, and returned to you in a week. Color Me Happy also leads workshops in canvas and board art as well as clay projects for the little ones. It's a win/win for the community.
Diamond Sewing is the realized dream of Adell Campbell who, at a young age, was introduced to the sewing arts by her talented grandmother. She is known for fashioning fabulous custom garments and for altering or reimagining clothing you already have. Adell can also help with interior design projects with upholstery work and made-to-order drapery and quilts.
Adell enjoys sharing her knowledge with others offering several one-on-one sewing classes in her shop. Beginners are taught how to use and thread a sewing machine, cut and pin patterns, and make basic items like pillows and aprons. Intermediate and more advanced classes include learning about measurements and choosing the right fabric. You will be wearing your own handmade clothing before you know it.
Painted Planet School of Art in downtown Brunswick is both a gallery for local artists and a studio for budding Picassos of all ages. She is a talented artist and poet herself and her friendly spirit inspires all who participate in the classes.
The studio hosts popular Arty Parties where groups gather for a no-stress foray into a number of art disciplines including painting, paper mache projects, and photography. It's a great way to get together with friends and family for a unique day out on the town. Mary Ann showcases local creatives in her studio on a rotating basis and often holds art contests involving the community.
