Whether you’re just starting a new daily meditation routine or you’re a lifetime expert, here are our five favorite spots to find your inner Zen near Brunswick.
1. Driftwood Beach
Zone out while you sit on soft sand as the waves crash in the background – this beach is your meditation nirvana.
2. Gascoigne Bluff Park
Park a yoga mat or a blanket under a weeping tree in the shade or sit on the edge of the wooden pier and get in the zone.
3. Blythe Island Regional Park
Choose any calm, tranquil spot across this park’s 1,100 acres and relax into the moment. Whether you post up under a shady tree in the grass or sit at the end of the dock above the lake, this place is where you want to be when you ascend into Pranayama.
4. Avenue of the Oaks
Twisted branches and canopy-like foliage create this massive oak tree tunnel adjacent to the Seaside Golf Course. While it may not be a nature park or ocean shoreline, it stands in historic {{location_state_name}} glory as you sit under towering oak trees. Birds chirping, soft green grass, and plenty of shade make for a great spot to pull up your blanket or yoga mat and get into Padmasana.
Pro tip: you’ll need to park along the side of the road. And, be aware that this is a popular tourist attraction, so it’s best to arrive in the early morning for a quiet experience.
5. Jekyll Island Fishing Pier
From picnic benches to grassy areas and a massive pier, this beachy spot is the perfect place to take your meditation practice to.
