The wait is over. After a year of virtual concerts, postponements, and cancellations, events and activities are finally back! Here’s a roundup of the hippest happenings in and around Tampa this June. Get back out there and enjoy.
Music
Ahh, live music. For concert-lovers, virtual shows were a must during quarantine. But let’s be serious, nothing can replace the real thing. The best part about the shows on this list? If you’re still nervous about crowds, three out of four are being held outdoors.

June 17: The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band at Bilheimer Capitol Theatre
June 22: Backstreet Boys at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
June 26: Local Live Fest 2021 at St. Pete Sidelot
Comedy
If you haven’t watched “Alone Together” starring Esther Povitsky on Hulu, clear your schedule and do that. Or if you don’t have Hulu, catch Esther – and several other big names – at the Improv this month.
June 12-13: Brad Williams at Improv Comedy Theater
June 18-20: Desi Banks at Improv Comedy Theater
June 23: Esther Povitsky at Improv Comedy Theater
June 24: Craig Conant at Side Splitters Comedy Club
Festivals
If you’re bored on June 19, it’s not for lack of options. Make the most of the last day of spring by attending one (or more) of these events around Tampa.
June 19: AfroCAN Fest Night Garden Experience at Tampa Garden Club
June 19: Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival at Curtis Hixon Park
June 19: Juneteenth Cultural Festival & Celebration at Raymond James Stadium
