If you’ve had enough being stuck in the same old routine, maybe it’s time for a new adventure. While you might be used to road trips and airline travel, how about taking advantage of Tampa’s prime location and head out to sea?
There are a number of amazing cruises that depart from Tampa. Here are a few of our favorites.
Caribbean: Curacao, Aruba, & Dominican Republic
This 11-day cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line hits some incredibly beautiful Caribbean ports, including Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Willemstad, and George Town. You’ll have a chance to explore each stop on the cruise and enjoy all the recreational opportunities each location offers – from snorkeling to a visit at a marine park. There’s also plenty to do and enjoy on the ship – everything from buffets to live shows. This is the perfect way to beat the winter blahs this year.
Panama Canal
How about a jaunt down to one of the most famous feats of naval engineering in the modern world? Enjoy an eight-day Carnival Cruise to the Panama Canal in early 2022 that will take you all the way to Limón and back. There will be a few restful days at sea before arriving in Panama for a day of fun – and then you’ll get to experience a partial transit through the canal. Afterward, kick back at Grand Cayman before heading back to Tampa.
Western Caribbean
If you’re on a budget and don’t have much time for a getaway, how about a four-day cruise to the western Caribbean? Royal Caribbean offers a variety of these short cruises to various destinations like Mexico or the Bahamas for incredible prices. The schedule typically follows an early evening departure, a day at sea to arrive at the destination, one full day to play, and then another day at sea to return to Tampa. It’s the perfect choice for a long weekend away.
