If you’re looking for some extra fun during this holiday season, you’ll definitely want to make a trip to Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park along the Tampa Riverwalk. From local makers at boutique shops to winter wonderland lights and sounds, this activity is one you won’t want to miss!
The Shops
Featuring five unique boutiques offering crafts, gifts, and goodies from local Florida makers, this is your one-stop shop for all things holiday gifts. Got all your shopping done in advance? The shops are a great place to pick out sentimental ornaments, extra stocking stuffers, or festive home decor.
Icicle Craft Kitchen
Snacks, pastries, breads, and festive goodies, you’ve got to swing by the Icicle Craft Kitchen during your visit to Winter Village. Their freshly-brewed coffee is the perfect treat to warm up on a cool winter night.
Ice Skating
What’s a winter activity without ice skating? Grab your hat and some gloves and get out there to practice your balancing skills. While walk-up entry isn’t guaranteed, your best bet is to purchase tickets online in advance of your visit – each guest will have a 75-minute skating session with the purchase of a $15 ticket, which includes the skate rental.
Curtis Hixon Park Choo Choo
First come, first serve, and free, the Curtis Hixon Park Choo Choo is a winter-themed train ride through the village – located at the top of Curtis Hixon Park near the corner of Ashley Dr. and Twiggs St.
Be sure to make your trip to Winter Village between now and January 3rd, 2021. Looking for more seasonal activities to do around the Tampa area? Head over to read our other blog posts.
