TEST YOUR SWING AT THESE 4 STUNNING TAMPA GOLF COURSES

|

If there’s one thing you’ll always be able to find in Tampa, it’s a stunning course where you can hone your golf skills. And you’ll forget all about the busyness of everyday life once you step foot on the greens and find yourself in a quiet space with as much beauty as a nature preserve. Here are some of our favorite courses in Tampa to boost your mood and test your swing.

The Claw at USF

The University of South Florida’s course is famous among Tampa locals for being one of the most challenging in the region. The fairways are long and tight, so you’ll have to hit it nice and straight off the tee. You’ll likely spot deer, spoonbills, and alligators, just to name a few regular visitors at this stunning course. Be sure to book your tee time online well in advance, so you can hit the tee box as soon as you arrive.

Rogers Park Golf Course

Despite being home to the Tampa City Men’s Open Championship, Rogers Park remains one of the city’s best-kept secrets. Boasting more than 50 years of history and heritage, this 18-hole course has become an established favorite for local golfers. When you need to get away from it all, head over to Rogers Park and trek through its gorgeous 160 acres on the banks of the Hillsborough River.

Rocky Point Golf Course

Established in 1911, Rocky Point Golf Course is one of the oldest courses not just in Tampa, but in the whole state of Florida. It has a fascinating history: during World War II, the course was closed and used as a facility to hold prisoners of war. After reopening in the 1950s, Rocky Point became a well-known haven for local golfers, and it is now part of the Florida Historic Golf Trail.

Westchase Golf Club

Like The Claw, Westchase is known for its stunning natural landscape, with fairways that wind through lakes, woods, and wetlands and feature picturesque wooden bridges. Named one of the top 10 courses in the country by the National Golf Foundation, Westchase serves up 213 acres of golfing heaven you could only find in Tampa.
