Collective Con is back for it’s eighth year in Jacksonville and it’s going to be bigger than ever. Held at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds on March 11-13, this three-day event is wildly popular among comic, anime, and sci-fi enthusiasts as well as curious onlookers. Tickets are on sale now, but don’t wait. It’s a hot ticket. Here’s why.
It Goes Beyond Just Comics
Unlike most comic cons, Collective Con covers other genres to draw a more diverse audience. Video and board games, sci-fi and all things pop culture will have a place beside the comic and anime regulars here.
There’s Something For Everyone
The organizers have done a great job of creating a wide range of events that go beyond the usual panels and Q&As. There’s a costume contest for both kids and adults, several fan panels, drawing workshops, a video game contest, and a Star Wars-themed pub crawl. The exhibitor area draws a particularly diverse group of vendors, and kids under 10 are free, making it a popular family event.
It Draws Big-Name Talent
Collective Con draws an impressive array of top-level celebrities, voice actors, writers, animators, and cosplay characters from around the country. This year’s lineup includes big names like Emily Swallow from The Mandalorian, Sam Witwer from Star Wars, Mathew Wood from Star Wars, and child phenom Jackson Robert Scott from It.
The Fans Get Into It
Fans from around Jacksonville and beyond go all out to make this a great event, with elaborate costumes and tons of enthusiasm. You can’t help getting swept up in the magic, and we could all use a dose of fantasy fun right now.
