The Chinese New Year starts on Feb. 1, ushering in the Year of the Tiger. Here are a few fun ways to ring in the new zodiac year.

Learn More

One fun way to celebrate the Chinese New Year is to learn more about what it means. What does the tiger signify and what is in store for 2022? The tiger is known as an ambitious zodiac sign, with a competitive streak and a drive to help others and seek justice. People believe 2022 will bring a time of change, with sudden disruptions in career, romance, and home life. There will be a new enthusiasm for the future, risk taking, and plenty of adventure ahead.

Cook Up Delicious Food

It wouldn’t be a celebration without food. Cook up some tasty treats and honor of the Chinese New Year with an epic menu. Certain foods traditionally inspire luck, prosperity, and wealth. Find some recipes for spring rolls and dumplings to encourage wealth, while a longevity noodle dish will promote happiness and a long life.

Make a Wish

Feb. 15 marks the Lantern Festival, or Shangyuan Festival, which is the final day of Chinese New Year celebrations. You can order a set of your own lanterns this year and write your wishes for 2022 on them. Light them up, and let them float away.

Do It All

Order a box full of Chinese New Year activities, recipes, and crafts from Days United. It includes a step-by-step guide to making the most of the Lunar New Year. Take a look at everything that is included and get ready for the best year yet!
