It’s spring in Jacksonville, and most of us are itching to get out on the town. Lucky for you, the city has a number of exciting events planned for this season. Here are a few standouts.
Jacksonville Science Festival
Head out to the Riverside Arts Market on April 24 for the Jacksonville Science Festival, a great local event that supports students exploring science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). You’ll be helping out the youth of Jacksonville, who will be eligible to earn scholarship money through this venue. And best of all, you’ll learn something new!
6th Annual San Jose Car & Truck Show
There’s nothing like a spring Saturday filled with good music, refreshing sodas, and automobiles. On April 10, enjoy the 6th Annual San Jose Car & Truck Show. Admission is free, and not only that, but there are door prizes and gift bags. All the car and truck lovers out there won’t want to miss this one.
Vicars Landing Golf Charity Event
What’s better than a day of golfing and good meals? How about enjoying those things while knowing that your participation helps people with limited means to purchase hearing aids – many of which are not covered (or only partially covered) by insurance. Buy your ticket now for the Vicar’s Landing Golf Charity Event, to be held April 14 at St. Johns Golf & Country Club. Your ticket will cover a boxed lunch, two drink tickets, and entrance to the dinner banquet, as well as cart and range fees for the day. This is such a great way to have fun while also helping the community!
Poetry & the Creative Mind
For the first time, this thought-provoking annual event is going virtual – and it’s free! Celebrate poetry on April 29 with a list of star presenters including Meryl Streep, Orlando Bloom, and Sandra Oh. All you have to do is register and turn on your laptop!
