3 REASONS TO GET EXCITED ABOUT WARIOWARE: GET IT TOGETHER!

|

WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

We thought about simply writing a big block of “wah” and calling it a day – I mean, that sells the game for us – but you’re probably looking for something a little more substantial than that. The latest entry in a quirky series of microgame collections, WarioWare: Get It Together! is set to be released September 10. Here’s a quick refresher of everything to look forward to from the upcoming title!

It’s Wario

A core part of the series' appeal has always been its titular star*. While a new Wario Land is long overdue (it’s been 13 years since the last entry!), we’ll take what we can get. Beloved voice actor Charles Martinet reprises his role as the garlic-gulping, microgame-making, money-obsessed ghoul we can’t help but adore.

*That said, the WarioWare supporting cast members have their own subsets of devoted fans, particularly the lovable teen witch Ashley. Let’s just hope Penny Crygor and other characters currently missing in action make an appearance as well.

Take Control

Perhaps Nintendo finally realized the strength of their kooky characters’ appeal, as for the first time in the series you take control of Wario and Co. in their frantic minigames! Each character has their own unique ability to help you through the flurry of madness. We can’t wait to vacuum everything up into Orbulon’s spaceship.

Multiplayer Madness

What’s better than a fresh collection of 200-plus microgames from WarioWare, Inc.? Why, a fresh collection of microgames you can play with a friend! But seriously, this is a no-brainer. The base Switch model comes with two Joy-Con game controllers, making multiplayer options one of the console’s selling points, and WarioWare is perfect for a cooperative microgame madcap mashup. Of course, you can still enjoy the game solo.
