Those scorching hot summer days are trailing shortly behind us, so why not take your workout outdoors – plus why not add a little scenery to level up your sweat sesh. Here’s our favorite local spots in Jax to take your workout to.
1. Cradle Creek Preserve
Elevated wooden boardwalks along dense nature trails make this workout destination a must-see. Here, you’ll have over 40 acres of land to run, jog, or walk through. You just might catch a glimpse of some wildlife along your route.
2. Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park
Hike, bike, or trail run your way through the scenic pathways at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park. With almost 20 miles worth of trails to explore, you could easily spend a few hours here. There is a visitor fee to gain entry to this park, but we say the views here make it more than worth the $3 ticket.
3. Oak Harbor Public Boat Ramp
Wondering why a boat ramp is on this list? Who ever said your workout needs to be on land – so rent a kayak and hop on the Intracoastal Waterway via the Oak Harbor Public Boat Ramp. Kayak your way through Jax’s intertwining waterways and sightsee while you get in a killer arm workout.
