You don’t have to be Irish to live on the Emerald Coast, but you must celebrate the biggest Irish holiday of the year! Here’s where to head to get your fill of St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans in Destin in 2022.

We can’t think of anything more appropriate for St. Patty’s Day than to patronize an Irish pub called McGuire’s —especially since it’s known for this tagline: “Feasting. Imbibery. Debauchery.” Don’t mind if we do!

Enjoy live music by JJ Smith and Mat Stephens and a likely appearance by McGuire’s Irish Pub Pipe Band on Saturday, March 12, and Thursday, March 17. Order an Irish old fashioned, frozen or hot Irish coffee, or extra dry classic martini to wash down your Reuben egg rolls, corned beef and cabbage, or bangers and mash.

HarborWalk Village

Looking for G-rated fun? HarborWalk Village will host the St. Paddy’s Family Party on Saturday, March 19, from 2 to 4 PM. The Carpenter Academy of Irish Dance takes the stage at 2:30 PM, and adults and kids alike will enjoy the leprechaun treasure hunt (among other fun surprises and activities) throughout the day.

When the sun sets, send the young’uns home. Then, take off on a proper pub crawl! Jester Mardi Gras Daiquiris and Pizza, Coyote Ugly Saloon, and Margaritaville are all nearby, so grab a beverage and make the Irish proud.

Whether you want to dine in or pick up a slab of beef to cook at home, Callahan’s Restaurant & Deli in downtown Destin won't let you down. Get corned beef, pastrami, a Reuben, or whatever else your deli-loving green heart desires. Any selection is sure to satisfy. There’s something for everyone with beef, seafood, and pasta on the food menu, and wine, spirits, and Killian’s on the drink menu. St. Patrick’s Day might draw you in, but the high-quality fare and friendly atmosphere will keep you coming back.
