You can also choose to kayak the sea caves in La Jolla Cove.
Mission Beach
Mission Beach is San Diego's lively take on the classic boardwalk beach town. Mission Beach features miles of beautiful oceanfront and is the perfect place to engage in fun activities such as surfing, fishing, diving, whale watching, and rollerblading. It also has fun bars and never-ending nightlife. Some other fun things to do in Mission Beach include cycling the bike path, golfing at the Mission Beach Golf Course, or spending a day at Belmont Park near Mission Beach.
Balboa Park

Del Mar
Translated to Spanish for "by the sea", Del Mar is a lovely coastal town near San Diego. Del Mar is perfect for quiet retreats and staycations. It has beautiful beaches and multiple opportunities for fine dining and cycling. Del Mara is also home to the Del Mar Race Track, a regular host of events such as the yearly Del Mar Fair in June. Visit Del Mar Plaza with fine dining options and an ocean view, or enjoy a picnic at Powerhouse Park.
