Union Yoga
When you take a class at Union Yoga, you are giving back. Union Yoga donates one dollar to a fund that subsidizes yoga for those in need for every class member. What's more, they offer rates on a sliding scale for those battling addiction. Since the owner, Rex, was able to find calm from his addiction issues through yoga, he believes in paying it forward.
Best of all, Union Yoga livestreams classes. Even if you don't feel like leaving home or are traveling, you can still practice yoga. In-person classes are held at Trolley Barn Park while they fundraise to open a studio.
Honey Yoga
Another superb place to practice yoga is Honey Yoga. This woman-owned studio is inviting, inclusive, and welcomes you at whatever your best is at the moment. Regulars can't stop raving about how the instructors and studio make them feel part of the yoga family and community.
There are two class types at the studio: Honey Flow and Honey Restore. Interestingly, the classes differ slightly depending on the teacher. Take Honey Restore if you're new to practicing or just looking to decompress. You can attend in person or watch at home through the video library.
Hapa Yoga
Area native Tina Knight started Hapa Yoga in 2013 after becoming a mom. The studio offers a range of classes to accommodate all levels and ages. In addition, if hot yoga is your thing, Hapa has Heated Vinyasa Flow and "Hot as a Mutha" Hot Hatha. Other class types include Bootcamp/TRX, Barre + Pilates, and CardiYo Sculpt.
Yogis love the community feel and the self connection they gain from the studio. Hapa Yoga offers an excellent 200-hour certification program when you want to complete teacher training.
