Taste of Little Italy
On June 22 and 23, from 4-8 PM, the Little Italy Association’s annual restaurant tour is back with a bang. Enjoy the 48 square blocks of Little Italy and stop to sample the best of what each participating restaurant has to offer. Your ticket will buy you a Taste Passport, which maps out the different stops you can make and everything available to participants. Best of all, a portion of the proceeds goes to the participating restaurants to alleviate the financial hardship of the past year. So be sure to attend and support San Diego restaurants!
Nighttime Zoo at the San Diego Zoo
Have you ever visited the zoo after dark? Expanded summer hours allow the zoo to host visitors after dark to see everything from a different perspective. Enjoy the live entertainment and beautiful lights, and get a glimpse of some of the animals before settling in for the night.
Home*Grown*Fun
Inspired by health guidelines, the San Diego County Fair is operating a small, more intimate experience for San Diegans that celebrates community and local agriculture. Enjoy the Ferris wheel and carousel, food concessionaires, demonstrations, entertainment, and agricultural exhibits. This is a four-week celebration, starting on June 11. Be sure to pick up your tickets on their website.
Art Alive 2021
The San Diego Museum of Art is celebrating its 40th anniversary with one of its most exciting recurring events: Art Alive. This year, the galleries will be filled with flower arrangements created by floral designers, making for an incredible backdrop to the event. Opening weekend will feature contemporary Spanish artist Ana de Alvear’s beautiful and haunting drawings. This event runs from June 17 through 20 – and if you can’t make it in person, be sure to register for the virtual tour!
