Otay Valley Regional Park
Rolling fields of bright yellow wildflowers, wetlands, wildlife, 8 miles of walkable terrain, and a stunning backdrop of coastal California hillsides – This trail is a must-see. Plus, it’s dog friendly!
Bernardo Mountain Summit Trail
This 5-mile round-trip trail has pristine views of Lake Hodges and the surrounding landscape. Make sure to visit this trail on a cooler day as there is little-to-no shade along the route – The views will not disappoint!
Black Mountain Open Space Park
With panoramic views overlooking practically all of San Diego County, this trail is where you want to be on a clear, sunny day. The 1,554-foot trek to the summit is a bit of a feat, but well worth it for the insane aerial perspective of your favorite cities below. Be sure to bring water and pack a snack.
Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve
If there’s only one hike to choose from on our list, it should be this one. Massive rock formations, tree-tunneled trails, oddball gravestones, flowing waterways – This hiking destination has it all. And, it’s only a 15-minute drive from Olympus Corsair.
