You’ll Have a Blast at These Swimming Facilities in Irvine

Swimming is a fun way to work on your cardiovascular endurance, and with access to an indoor pool, you can enjoy this activity no matter the season. There are several facilities with indoor and outdoor pools near our Irvine apartments. 

William J. Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center

The William J. Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center hosts competitive swim meets, while also offering open swim times to locals. Take a water aerobics class, come for lap swimming, or even learn how to swim at this facility. Some of the recreational offerings include an inflatable obstacle course, diving board, and water slide. Some time during the summer season, they even host a Splash-In Movie and Recreation Swim. You get to enjoy a film while floating in the water for a unique and relaxing experience. 

Northwood High School Aquatic Center

This 50-meter, outdoor pool provided by Northwood isn't just for students. Although its primary use is for swimming competitions, the Northwood High School Aquatic Center is also used as a site for swimming lessons and recreational activity when school is not in session. You can sign up on the City of Irvine website to join teams and classes. They even host an underwater hockey clinic. 

Waterworks Aquatics

You get both indoor and outdoor options at Waterworks Aquatics. This facility hosts regular swimming lessons, open swim for everyone in the community, lifeguard prep courses, and more. Check out all of their adult swim program choices and find one that best suits your needs. Join a water aerobics class or utilize the lap pool for exercise. You can even book the pool for a private event.
