Hive & Honey Rooftop Bar

Craft cocktails and gourmet appetizers with a panoramic view of the city? Sounds like a good place for a St. Patty’s Day celebration to us! You’ll definitely want to try their charcuterie board and prime rib sliders. And if you’d rather head there for dessert, try the cinnamon roll or “The Mallow,” a gourmet, s’mores-style brownie with marshmallow brulee, honeycomb, and vanilla ice cream. They have more than a dozen craft beers on their menu, along with wine and several varieties of cocktails from a vodka-based Golden Hour to a bourbon-based Buffalo Soldier.

You’ll find this sports bar near the intersection of the 5 and 405. But don’t be fooled – sports bar or not, this is an incredibly high end hot spot with a menu that will dazzle you. Have you ever tried Poke Nachos, made with raw ahi, crispy wontons, and sriracha aioli? You’ll love their Vampire Taco with its cheese-crusted tortilla and salsa roja, or their Kurobuta Pork Burger. You might not have such an easy time choosing your beer, though, thanks to their extensive selection. Perhaps just stick to the classic Guinness Stout on St. Patrick’s Day in honor of the holiday.

Did you know about this speakeasy tucked into the Irvine Marriott? If not, you’re in for a treat. You never know (which is what YNK stands for) what awaits you at this very special destination. Here, you’ll find dozens of cocktails from around the globe that will allow you to travel to other countries without ever leaving the city. Try their Garden Walk, with gin, cucumber, and basil, or the Vieux Carre with whiskey, cognac, and bitters.

Anthill Pub & Grille

This pub is a favorite hangout thanks to its proximity to the University of California Irvine. It’s a super casual, incredibly fun destination, perfect for a good time. They have 36 beers on tap and a delicious food menu. Try the Firestone Walker Nitro Merlin Milk Stout or the Carlsberg Pilsner.
