Phoenix, Arizona, is a major metropolitan region located in the Valley of the Sun. The city serves as a cultural hub for the state and is home to several fine art galleries and spectacular museums that you can check out near our apartments in Phoenix.

Here are a few favorites.  

Phoenix Art Museum

The Phoenix Art Museum has developed a reputation as one of the most significant art galleries in the Southwestern states. Since its inception in 1959, it has staged over 400 exhibits and has over 17,000 contemporary art pieces from throughout the globe. The museum purchased The Last Scattering Surface in 2008, a spectacular metal and glass sculpture influenced by current industrial design and the Big Bang Theory. You can enjoy this amazing artwork at the museum.

Bentley Gallery

Since its establishment in 1984, the Bentley Gallery has established itself as a pillar of the contemporary art scene in the southwest. The gallery has featured several notable and prominent shows. In its early years, Bentley Gallery exhibited Pat Steir's Waterfalls, a series of dreamy water capes produced by pouring thinned paint onto canvas, followed by a retrospective of the works of renowned 1970s abstract artist Jennifer Bartlett.

Musical Instrument Museum

If you love music, you can find the wonderful Musical Instrument Museum located about twenty minutes north of the city center that is one of the largest and finest museums of its type. Its gigantic collection includes over 15,000 musical instruments from 200 nations and territories. There are also intriguing displays of the history and tradition of music.
