4 MARCH EVENTS IN PHOENIX YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS

|

The Phoenix region is gearing up for a spectacular spring season. If you’ve got a case of spring fever, you’ll find the cure in one of these events.

Get out and about and enjoy yourself this month.

Let the Good Times Roll

Have you ever heard of a pop-up roller rink? Yeah, it’s a thing. Head over to Gilbert this month for their pop-up rink located on Ash Street between Water Tower Plaza and the Gilbert Farmers Market. You can spin all evening while enjoying beautiful views of the Gilbert water tower. Tickets include the cost of skate rentals, so don’t worry about having to dig through that box in the garage to find your old roller skates. It’s a great way to spend time with loved ones, and the perfect place for an early spring date.

An Officer & a Gentleman: The Musical

This classic film has been made into a musical and will be playing at The Orpheum Theatre from March 11 through 13. It’s a beautiful love story, but we encourage you to go just for the music, which includes 80s classics like Up Where We Belong, Love Is a Battlefield, Do the Walls Come Down, and Higher Love.

Arizona Aloha Festival

On the weekend of March 12 and 13, you’ll find this cultural event at Tempe Beach Park. You’ll get to learn all about Hawaiian culture, through demonstrations, classes, and performances. Learn how to play the ukulele, participate in Hawaiian crafts, watch the beautiful hula and other dance performances, and enjoy all the best of Hawaiian cuisine.

Superstition Blues & Brews Art Festival

Music, art, and beer – it doesn’t get any better than this! Head over to Apache Junction on Saturday March 12 for this fun community event. You can buy tickets ahead of time and they’re only $20, which will give you access to some of the best blues music performances in the state, not to mention dozens of art vendors and over 40 craft beers on tap. Musical performances will include Aaron Pollock, Innocent Joe, JC & The Juke Rockers, Big Pete Pearson, and The Atomic 44s, among others. And if you get hungry, don’t worry – you’ll have plenty of food trucks from which to choose!
