With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, it's time to figure out where you're going to celebrate the day. Luckily, your friends at Town Commons have compiled a short yet comprehensive list of three of the best nearby locales to celebrate this nearly 400-year-old holiday in style.
Grand ‘Ol Irish Week
When you're at the Irish Cultural Center, you don’t celebrate St. Patrick just for a day – you celebrate him for a week. Grand ‘Ol Irish Week is the Irish Cultural Center’s celebration of, well, Irish culture. From March 14 to 19, visitors can immerse themselves in Irish-themed live music, films, dancing, whiskey, and so much more. Check out the full list of events, then go join the festivities!
Giligan’s Bar
While a bombastic display of Irish joy is certainly a fun way to spend St. Patrick’s Day, if you’re looking for something a bit more low-key, then Giligan’s Bar is your spot. A small, charming pub boasting 24-ounce beers, a wide array of bar games, and an impressive selection of Irish whiskeys. A nice, quiet option to toast St. Paddy.
St. Patrick's Day Parade & Irish Faire
What better way to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day than with a parade? The 39th annual Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Faire is back and in person on March 12! If you’ve never been, you’re in for a treat. In addition to watching the largest St. Patrick's Day parade in Arizona, you'll also get to celebrate the day by purchasing traditional Irish dishes from local vendors and enjoying a slew of Irish entertainment. Tickets can be purchased here.
