October is the perfect time of year to get out and about, enjoying the beautiful autumn weather. And Gilbert has plenty of opportunities for doing just that – and celebrating Halloween, too. Here are some events to add to your holiday to-do list.
Mother Nature’s Farm
October just wouldn’t be the same without visiting a pumpkin patch – and Gilbert has one right here in town! Mother Nature’s Farm was named the best pumpkin patch in all of Arizona by the New Times. This little farm began in 1968 by a local family, and is still family owned and operated. You can pick out a pumpkin, shop at the store, enjoy a few snacks, and visit the petting zoo, making for the perfect October afternoon.
Gilbert Farmers Market
Head over to the farmers market for some holiday treats this season. You’ll find delicious fall-inspired pies by AZ Food Crafters, pumpkin spice-flavored caramels by Bello Caramels, and the most darling pumpkin spice latte cookies you have ever seen by the Honey Bee Cookie Company. The market is open every Saturday from 8 AM to noon.
Halloween Goat & Alpaca Yoga
One of Gilbert’s favorite locations for yoga lovers, Goat Yoga, is hosting a Halloween event on Oct. 30. There will be a fog machine, hoofed creatures in costume, and Halloween music, of course. Feel free to dress up with any Halloweeny accessories that won’t get in the way of your asanas. This class is suitable for all ages and yoga levels – just remember to bring a mat for this outdoor class and prepare to have goats climbing all over you!
Fat Cats Holiday Fun
Head over to Fat Cats for their Halloween celebrations, which include spooky movies during their Saturday Morning Movie Events, as well as their recreational opportunities, including bowling and arcade gaming.
Cookie Rush
If you haven’t yet decided how to spend your Halloween night, how about cuddling up with cookies and a movie? SodaRush, whose cookies have been voted the best for five years in a row, will deliver straight to your house, so you don’t have to lift a finger, other than to turn the TV on.
