Nestled downtown is a lively year-round shopping destination known as the Gilbert Farmers Market.
The market is open on Saturday mornings, and its mission is to promote healthy living and local sustainability in Gilbert and the surrounding communities.
Vendors include:
FOND DU LAC FARM
Fond du Lac boasts that it's Arizona's new source for raw milk. The owners are committed to the timeless practices of yesteryear, and their barn has more space per cow than the conventional milking parlor. The animals graze in the pasture, and Fond du Lac is licensed by the state to produce Grade A raw milk for consumption.
CROOKED SKY FARM
In 1994, Frank Martin quit his trucking job to become a farmer. He farms the natural way and follows the Native American traditions of using crop rotation, heirloom seeds, and other sustainable practices. Crooked Sky spans approximately 420 acres, and Frank's produce line changes yearly to include something new and exciting. Depending on the season, the selection may feature cabbage, cucumbers, summer squash, and much more.
BIG RED'S HOT SAUCE
Owned by the husband and wife team of Paul and Tasia Ford, Big Red's Hot Sauce is where full flavor meets the heat you love. The company was born after Paul was sent to Afghanistan to drill wells for the troops. The couple only uses the finest ingredients, and there's something for everyone. Choices include blackberry rum, green chili avocado, and smoky habanero.
BREEZY POP
Established in 2009, Breezy Pop offers freezer pops made with 100 percent whole fruit and other clean ingredients. New batches are made every week, and the owner uses his grandmother's secret recipes. Flavors include juicy strawberry, tropical pineapple, and wild guanabana.
