LEARN TO MAKE WINE & MEAD JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

|

With the holiday season upon us comes the fun-filled tradition of gift giving. And we all have that one person in our lives who is perfect at it. You know, that family member or friend who always gives you something handmade or relates the gift to some profound moment the two of you shared a decade ago. You know, that person. Well, this year, your friends here at Mountain Trail have found the perfect gift for that certain someone who always makes you feel bad for only getting them a gift card. Plus, you get to learn how to make wine and beer. It’s a win-win! Here is everything you need to know to attend the mead and winemaking adult workshop.

This Is an Adult Workshop?

Yep! This is one of many adult workshops you can attend at the Willow Bend Environmental Education Center.

What’s the Willow Bend Environmental Education Center?

Willow Bend Environmental Education Center provides educational outreach services that teach environmental awareness and the cultivation and conservation of our natural and cultural resources.

Sounds Great! What Do I Need To Bring?

Your eagerness to learn! That’s it. Your $25 entry fee takes care of everything else.

What Will I Learn?

Your three-hour workshop will consist of learning the basics of making wine and mead from a local hobbyist with years of experience. You’ll be taught the process of turning fruits, flowers, and even vegetables into wine or mead. The class will mainly focus on the supplies and foundational knowledge you’ll need to continue to develop your newly acquired wine and mead-making skills right at home! Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to taste and discuss wines and meads made using local produce.

OK, I’m in. What do I need to know and do to attend?

The workshop is on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 AM to 12 PM. You can register here. Good luck, have fun, and here’s to impressing that certain someone with the gift of homemade libations.
