KEEP MOVING WITH THESE LOCAL FALL ACTIVITIES

|

With the weather getting cooler, it’s time to get your fix of the great outdoors. Here are three fun-filled outdoor activities to enjoy this fall.

Arizona Snowbowl

The Arizona Snowbowl is a well-known destination for skiing and snowboarding during the winter. During the summer and fall however, you can get a bird’s-eye view of the majestic mountains, beautiful fall foliage, even the Grand Canyon on its scenic gondola rides. If you want to enjoy the truly spectacular sights, Sunset Gondola rides are still available for Oct. 8, 9, 15, and 16.

Walnut Canyon National Monument

With an undeniable connection to the past, Walnut Canyon National Monument is a must-see for any Flagstaff resident. Travel through time as you pass a curved canyon, natural geological formations, and the ancient cliff dwellings of the ancient Puebloans, who called this area home more than 800 years ago.

The Arboretum at Flagstaff

With flora and fauna in equal measure, The Arboretum at Flagstaff is a gorgeous combo of cultivated plants and natural beauty. With over 200 acres of land, this conservation site is home to rare plant specimens and plants native to Northern Arizona. Taking hikes here will allow you to witness fall flowers in bloom along with an abundance of wildlife. And when you want a little more in-depth knowledge with your journey, sign up for the Arboretum’s guided tours.
