Trying to figure out what to do to celebrate New Year’s Eve? Never fear: Arizona is hosting dozens of fun celebrations. Stick close to home or venture farther for your New Year’s adventure.
Here are a few to consider.
Flagstaff’s Pinecone Drop
Enjoy this festive event right here in town if you’d like to keep your adventure local. Hosted by The Weatherford Hotel, this tradition began in 1999 to honor the hotel’s 100-year anniversary and the coming of the new millennium. You can watch this event at three different times: noon, 10 PM and midnight – which means you can spend the late night hours or the entire night curled up at home. Although, you might not want to miss the fireworks just after midnight. Bottom line: Who needs the Times Square ball when there’s a giant pine cone dropping right here in town?
Scottsdale’s Mirrorball
Head to Scottsdale for this off-the-hook party at Talking Stick Resort. There will be endless specialty drinks, amazing music, a Champagne toast, a balloon drop, and even party favors. This is a favorite event among the Scottsdale locals, so be ready to party!
Phoenix’s Cheers to a New Year
Head over to the capital’s convention center and get ready to enjoy some of the best views in the entire area – which include the city’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display. General admission to this classy event ticket gets you one of the best seats in the city and a glass of champagne for the midnight celebration. There are also additional admission tiers that come with private group seating, party favors, and other commemorative items.
Tempe’s Havana Nights
With this event, you can travel beyond Arizona. Havana Nights transforms Alibi into a tropical rooftop paradise – perfect for ringing in the new year! This is an uber-formal party, so dress in your best. Tickets include party favors, appetizer buffet, cocktails, a live DJ, and sparkling wine for the midnight countdown.
Tucson’s 101 Years of New Year’s Eve
Photo booth, cocktails, club dancing, fireworks, and live music all await you at this amazing, historical Tucson party. And this is an especially fun event for those who enjoy a little magic – it includes séances and tarot card readings, too! Get your ticket before it sells out!
