Check Out These Public Lakes Near Chandler

Many lakes near our Chandler Apartments are open to the public and used for recreational activities. Whether you are interested in water-skiing, waterboarding, knee-boarding, or bodyboarding, these lakes near Chandler have it all.

Lake Pleasant

Lake Pleasant is located 66 miles northwest of Chandler. The lake is located in Lake Pleasant Regional Park, making it one of the park's many features. If you are looking for a fishing area, the lake has a wide variety of fish, including white crappie, black crappie, flathead catfish, tilapia, and many more. You can enjoy water activities on the lake, such as scuba diving, boating, paddle-boating, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming in the designated areas.

Saguaro Lake

Located just around 38 miles northeast of Chandler, Saguaro Lake is the perfect destination if you don't want to travel far. The lake is in the Sonoran Desert and is surrounded by canyon walls, making it a beautiful destination. You can access camping grounds at the lake's east end, and tour-boat trips are available. To make everything better, Saguaro Lake has a marina that harbors canoes, motorized boats, paddleboats, kayaks, and pontoons. You can also go sailing, water skiing and sailing on the lake. Around the lake area is the Saguaro Lake Ranch, where you can camp for a day or two in their unique cabins and enjoy the cool breeze while participating in enjoyable activities.

Tempe Town Lake

Tempe Town Lake is located in Tempe, Arizona. The lake is a desert oasis that offers fun activities such as kayaking, rowing, stand-up paddle boarding, walking, fishing, or picnicking throughout the year. You can enjoy the sun at Tempe Beach Park and North Shore Beach, located along Tempe Town Lake. You can go boating using watercrafts such as pedal boats, doughnut boats, stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, pontoon boats, and electric boats. Additionally, a 7-mile-long trail is used for biking, walking, or running. If you do not have a bike, there are several bike shops that you can rent one from, including Tempe Boat Rentals, and if you are near the marina, Wheelie Good Bikes is available.
