TAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE WITH AN ARRAY OF ANIMALS

|

Whether you enjoy learning about bottlenose dolphins, African lions, or charming penguins, you can find these fascinating animals and more at the following destinations:

Dolphinaris

Nestled in nearby Scottsdale, Dolphinaris attracts thousands of people every year who have dreamed of swimming with bottlenose dolphins. The pool holds around one million gallons of water, and the friendly animals are cared for by a full-time marine mammal veterinarian. The dolphin water experience allows visitors to stand in three feet of water where they'll get an up-close view as the dolphins chirp, jump, and splash. They'll also receive a kiss, and a portion of the proceeds help support marine life conservation.

Phoenix Zoo

When the Phoenix Zoo opened in 1962, it became the largest non-profit zoo in the country, an honor it still holds today. Established by Robert E. Maytag of the renowned Maytag family, the zoo strives to offer experiences that inspire and motivate people to care for the natural world. Visitors can see species from across the globe, including the majestic African lions. In the wild, these animals form groups called prides, and they mostly roam in parts of sub-Saharan Africa. African lions are easily identified by their tawny-colored fur, and only males have manes.

OdySea Aquarium

Spanning more than 200,000 square feet, OdySea is the largest aquarium in the Southwest. It can accommodate up to 10,000 people every day, and its mission is to provide fun experiences while at the same time heightening animal awareness. With over 50 exhibits and 500 species, there's much to see and do. One of the highlights is Penguin Point where visitors can meet Pip, Polly, and their friends. These African black-footed penguins are known for their charismatic personalities and donkey-like bray, and they entertain everyone as they waddle along the water's edge.

These are just a few of the attractions near Olympus Steelyard where residents can learn about animals. If you are searching for a place to call home, please contact our leasing agents to arrange a tour. They'd love to show you firsthand all we have to offer.
