Happy holidays! Once again, we find ourselves in the month of December. Thirty-one days of gift giving, ugly sweaters, and lots and lots of Christmas lights. So many, in fact, that your friends at Olympus Steelyard have curated this list of three of the most luminous locations in and around Chandler. Experience the wide-eyed wonder of millions of vibrant, multi-colored bulbs of every shape and size. So grab a warm coat, head out, and feast your eyes on a world of wonder.
Drive-Thru Lights
Reindeer Road in Tempe, Arizona, is one of the most visually stunning drive-thru light shows in the world. As part of the country-spanning World of Illumination project, Reindeer Road takes you through a forest of lights where you'll encounter mountainous terrain, glacial peaks, and ice caves before finally arriving at Santa's workshop! So grab your tickets here, and let's hope you're not on Santa's naughty list.
Lights at the Farm
From a drive-thru wonderland to 10 acres of fun, games, and pulsating Christmas lights set to music. Welcome to Lights at the Farm, Arizona’s largest synchronized holiday light show. And that’s just for starters. In addition to an incredible symphony of lights, you’ll enjoy a wide array of fun-filled activities, including Santa’s Reindeer (how cool would it be to take a selfie with a real-life reindeer?!), an outdoor skate rink, a giant snowman, and so much more. The farm is open every day in December, except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So check the Vertuccio Farms event calendar for times, grab your passes, and let the fun begin.
Phoenix ZooLights
Phoenix ZooLights has become one of Phoenix Zoo's most popular seasonal events, and it's easy to see why. Every winter, Phoenix Zoo is decked out with literally millions of bright, festive holiday lights. And to keep the theme going from our last entry, you get not one, but two, fantastic light shows synced to holiday music. You can take your time and go for a stroll through these amazing sights or stay in your vehicle and be part of a caravan traveling through the zoo itself. This awesome event is open until Jan. 15, but hours vary, so be sure to check the schedule before purchasing your tickets.
