History and culture abound in Chandler. If you're looking to take it all in, there are a variety of unique museums to choose from.

Located within 20 minutes of our apartments, all of these local institutions are definitely worth a visit.

CHANDLER MUSEUM

Chandler's newest museum has been aptly named the Chandler Museum. It's only been open for a few short months, and many residents are not yet aware of its presence. Located on West Frye Road between the Chandler Fashion Center and Costco, the Chandler Museum is set to exhibit 6-8 rotating displays each year.

ARIZONA RAILWAY MUSEUM

  Considered one of the most interesting museums in Chandler, the Arizona Railway Museum offers the unique opportunity to view train relics and exhibits related to railway history. Open for more than 35 years, the location is home to over 24,000 artifacts dedicated to the railway history of the SouthWest and Arizona. Other on-site attractions include vintage train cars and engines on display. During certain events, access inside the trains is allowed. The museum is open on weekends from 12 pm to 4 pm.

HUHUGAM HERITAGE CENTER

Far more than a museum, the Huhugam Heritage Center is a modern cultural space which honors two local native groups, the Akimel O'otham and the Pee Posh tribes. It features archeological treasures, unique architectural examples, plus an array of collections, memorabilia, and artistic exhibits. Items of particular interest include ancestral pottery, jewelry, baskets, bowls, and tools. The art gallery displays rotating features for area artists. Visitors are welcome Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Saturdays by appointment.
